Analysis of Power network

The preparatory audit of a factory’s electricity network includes the following:

Evaluation of the calculated powers, current flows, short circuits, voltage drops (P, I, cosϕ, Ik, dU%) in the key substations / breaker boxes.
Proposals for power network improvements.
Verification of the existing power network schemes and/or development of the new ones.

The general audit of energy resources (electricity, gas, heat, cold energy, pressure, steam, compressed air, temperature, moisture etc.) includes the following:

Inventory and documentation of key consumers of energy resources.
Establishment of consumption norms, limits, deviations.
Grouping the consumers of energy resources (establishing key groups of consumers to be measured).

Design and Deployment of the Smart Metering system

The System Design phase comprises the following steps:

Key metering objects are divided into subgroups;
The need for virtual metering points is assessed;
The possibility of production data integration in the system is evaluated;
The scheme of metering points is developed;
The integration of inlet meters is coordinated.

The System Deployment phase consists of the following stages:

Meters are deployed;
Software is installed;
Configuration of all points of the system is implemented.

The System Operation phase focuses on the following:

Specialized reports/dashboards are developed together with the customer;
Further procedures needed for continuously successful work with the metering system are defined.

OEE

OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is the Best Practice method to monitor and improve the efficiency of your manufacturing processes (i.e. those of machinery, manufacturing cells and units or assembly lines).

OEE is simple and practical. It takes the most common and important causes of manufacturing productivity loss, divides them into three main categories and dissects them into indicators and metrics that provide an excellent gauge for measuring where you stand – and how you can improve!

OEE is frequently used as the key metric and data source in the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and Lean Manufacturing programs providing you with a consistent instrument to measure the effectiveness of TPM and other initiatives as well as with the overall framework to determine production efficiency. BENCO installs OEE software, necessary automation, delivers customer training and OEE post-installation consultancy.

Currently we are looking for the Smart Metering Project Manager

The candidate will be managing implementation of smart metering projects related to all kinds of energy resources. His/her responsibilities will include designing optimum cost metering systems, managing project resources, developing schedules, establishing deadlines and making sure the project goes in line with them, dealing with problems and questions arising during the implementation process, cooperating with the client’s technical and managerial staff, searching for subcontractors, organizing and supervising implementation work.

AgroSmart Hyperspectral Analytics

BENCO – in partnership with ART21 – has developed an innovative technology for crop field monitoring, identifying crop stress and recognizing its causes. The solution uses drones to capture crop field spectral data using hyperspectral spectrometry. The data is then process using advanced analytical models, developed by using Machine Learning, Neural Networking and other data analysis techniques. In the end the customer receives an interactive map with that shows field problem areas and in the near future will be made compatible for utilization in smart farming machinery. The technology can be adapted for use on different crops and to estimate plant nutritional state or to recognize the onset of diseases at an early stage.

The use case potential of the technology is currently being demonstrated and tested on-farm in one of the biggest EU agriculture and IoT innovations projects – the ‘Internet of Food & Farm 2020’ (IoF2020).
